Alpine launches two new trim levels for the A110 at Geneva motor show

Complementing the Premiere Edition launch spec, the A110 is now available in Pure and Legende trims

Alpine has revealed two new trim levels, Pure and Legende, for its latest A110 sports car at this year’s Geneva motor show. Like the Premiere Edition launch trim, the Pure and Legende models us the A110’s mid-mounted 249bhp 1.8-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine and seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox. Even the chassis setting, the spring rates and dampers are identical across the range; however, the new trim levels offer distinctly different personalities.

The Pure cars are the most raw, driver-focused A110s. Alpine’s aim has been to reduce weight and provide an unfiltered driving experience. The A110 Pure comes on 17-inch wheels, has one-piece Sabelt seats, matt carbonfibre trim and is trimmed with leather and Alcantara-like materials. As a result, the Pure weighs 1080kg, 23kg less than the Premiere Edition. Despite the focus on weight, the Pure still comes with air conditioning, satnav and mobile phone connectivity as standard.

Still not focused enough for you? On the Pure’s options list is a sports exhaust and Brembo brakes. However, it can be made more comfortable with six-way adjustable comfort seats, parking sensors, a reversing camera and a choice of upgraded audio systems.

But if it’s a luxury GT version of the A110 that you want, the Legende trim will be of interest. The Pure’s optional comfort seats come as standard, but are finished in either black or brown full leather trim, while the carbonfibre inside is gloss rather than matt. The parking sensors and reversing camera come as standard, as do a set of 18-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.

Despite its more luxurious spec, there are a few options available on the Legende; you can get a sports exhaust, heated seats and a Focal sound system with an extra pair of speakers, two tweeters and a subwoofer.

As well as the two new trim levels, Alpine has launched three new exterior colours and four new wheels for the A110. At the launch the Premiere Edition A110 was only available in black and Alpine blue, the additional paint options add another blue, a white and a grey. The new colours are called Blanc Irisé, Bleu Abysse and Gris Tonnerre.

UK pricing has yet to be confirmed, but Premier Edition models are expected to reach UK customers at the beginning of summer, with Pure and Legende following later in the autumn.
