Tickets to Detroit’s premier concours car show are now available with an exclusive offer for evo readers

Do you enjoy your summer garden parties with wire-spoked wheels and Weber carburettors to fawn over rather than zoo-animal topiary? Detroit Concours is returning in 2018 to provide its annual dose of cucumber sandwiches, champagne and incredible cars.

Held in association with evo’s sister title Octane, Detroit Concours 2018 will be an out-and-out celebration of speed, and feature some of the most sought after supercars from across the ages on the cricket pitch at the Honorable Artillery Company in central Detroit.

The Lamborghini Countach 5000 Quattrovalvole, a true icon in its own right, will be one of the stars of the show. Penned by Marcello Gandini, the Countach went on to define a generation of supercar performance design and form a benchmark for those that would come after it. It’s a rare occasion that one of these early cars is seen in public but the chance to see it first hand is just one of the reasons why the Detroit Concours is a must this year.

Examples of progressive supercar design and engineering in the pursuit of speed will form a consistent narrative for the 2018 Detroit Concours display. Visitors will have the chance to explore the origins of the supercar in the Mercedes 300SL Gullwing, and follow the narrative right through to contemporary examples such as the Pagani Huayra.

For those wanting to get the most out of Detroit Concours 2018, exclusive dining and drinks packages are available, as well as the chance to experience a unique classic car investment conference the morning of the show.

Tickets are on sale now with a special offer exclusive to evo readers reducing the full-price of an adult entry pass from £35 to £25. to take advantage of our exclusive offer.
