Alfa Romeo celebrate at Goodwood FoS with 8C Spider on the hill climb

One year shy of it’s letter from the Queen, Alfa Romeo will be showcasing the 4.7-litre V8 Alfa 8C Competizione coupe during the Goodwood Hill Climb.

Joining Alfa’s newest production car on the hill will be a selection of cars from the Alfa Romeo museum in Arese, Italy. Among the historic selection will be the 1924 P2 Gran Premio, which won the first World Championship in 1925, and the 33 TT 12 which won the 1975 World Manufacturer’s title for Alfa Romeo.

Two Alfa concept cars will also be entered into the “Studies in Angular Sports Car Design” category, with one of these being the 1968 ‘Carabo’. The wedge-shaped Carabo has hydropneumatic-powered gull-wing doors and multi-coloured one-way glass.

The Alfa Romeo stand will feature the Alfa 8C Spider and Competizione supercars, as well as the MiTo, Spider, Brera S and 159.

The Goodwood Festival of Speed 2009 will take place from 3-4 July. For more info visit:
